Non-toxic pest control solutions
New legislation and regulations around permanent baiting rules and food safety and health & safety, and increasing awareness of the potential environmental impact of overuse of pesticides is driving the need for innovation in effective non-tox alternatives for pest control.
PestConnect offers internal and external non-toxic digital pest control solutions. Rat Riddance Connect is a highly effective rat snap trap that meets regulatory compliance for non-toxic rat control in sensitive areas. Whilst RADAR Connect is an award winning, bait free, effective mouse trap that eliminates and hygienically contains mice, reducing the risks of contamination.
Both of these effective solutions have been developed for sensitive locations where the use of rodenticide is not an option for our customers.
Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU)
CRRU - The campaign for responsible rodenticide use, aims to reduce exposure of rodenticides to wildlife and non-target animals. Tight guidelines on permanent baiting both internally and externally are in place in the EU to reduce the risks of ‘non target species’ poisoning - such as voles and field mice. This can lead to secondary poisoning of protected birds (barn owls, kestrels etc…) if they consume these mammals.
This is something we take very seriously as an industry leading business, and are continually developing new solutions to control rodents whilst protecting the environment. An example of this is our Dual AutoGateConnect, which puts a barrier between the bait and the environment; this gate will only open during an active rodent infestation, which means we can control mice and rats whilst minimising risks of exposure to wildlife and non-target animals.
Recent changes to the CRRU code of best practise states that permanent baiting internally can only be carried out if there are 'frequent' follow up checks to the premises. However, frequent visits are not always appropriate for some of our customers, who wish to avoid disruption to their premises; we therefore have appropriate solutions such as RADARConnect and Rat RiddanceConnect to protect them against potential internal infestations. These Pest Connect solutions can help give our customers peace of mind, with 24/7 monitoring without the disruption.
