  1. Add peanut butter on the inside of bucket about 3-4 inches down
  2. Add mouse bait inside the bucket
  3. Place the bucket where there is a mouse infestation
  4. Place the wooden stick against the bucket making a ramp

Make sure that you are checking the trap continuously, preferably once a day, to make sure that you are not missing out on any trapped mouse. These steps mentioned above are straightforward to execute and offer a very effective alternative to store-bought mouse traps.

What To Do When You Catch A Mouse?

Once you can successfully catch a mouse in your DIY mousetrap, you must release the mouse no less than a mile away, so it does not return to your home. Ensure that you are carefully handling the rodent when disposing of it to avoid any direct or indirect contact that can endanger you.
