  • 45cm in length. 1.5 - 2kg in weight.
  • Elongated hind legs and long ears

Lifecycle

  • Breeds January – August. Gestation period 4 weeks.
  • 2 – 4 litters per annum. 3 – 6 young per litter.
  • May conceive 2 days after giving birth.

Habits

  • Found in hedgerows, banking, woods, gardens, farms etc.
  • Juveniles move up to 4km after breeding season.
  • Damage caused by rabbits is estimated at £100 million per annum.
